Large celebrations were not planned just in the Czech House, Barbora Špotáková disclosed that across the Czech Republic she knows around 60 towns and villages, including her home town of Jablonec nad Nisou, where she can name who and in what pub they were supporting her.

During the previous evening Barbora wanted to kiss the hand of her trainer, three-time Olympic Champion Jan Železný at the stadium by way of appreciation and thanks. „He laughed, but wasn’t interested and pulled back,“ added Bára, who then at least bowed several times to her guru. In return, the whole Czech House bowed down to her yesterday evening.
